![]() The Lincoln Society in Peekskill gathered on Saturday morning February 7, to celebrate and commemorate Abraham Lincoln's historic stop in Peekskill on February 19, 1861. The Society met at the Lincoln Exedra on South Street for a patriotic wreath laying ceremony with a flag raising, Pledge of Allegiance and the playing of the National Anthem. Over 100 people joined the celebration and the following parade, including Boy Scouts from Local Troop 1, The West Point Color Guard, Civil War Reenactors from the 150 th NY Volunteers as well as Abraham Lincoln himself.
